Crime Details:Thursday, Feb. 21, 2008 State College police investigate robbery, assault STATE COLLEGE ó Borough police are investigating a reported robbery and assault that happened soon after 11:30 p.m. Tuesday on the top level of the McAllister Parking Deck in the 100 block of McAllister Street. The 23-year-old male victim told police he parked his vehicle and was walking away from it when he saw three men looking into vehicles. He watched the men approach his vehicle and saw one of them try to open a door, State College police said. When the victim approached the men and asked them what they were doing, they surrounded him and began beating him, inflicting injuries that required medical treatment, police said. The manís wallet and keys were taken, police said. The three men were described as white, approximately 6 feet tall with slender builds. They were wearing hooded sweatshirts turned inside out and two of them had short brown hair; the other was blond. The victim believes they possibly were traveling in a late model Chevrolet S10 or GMC Jimmy that was dark gray or black. Anyone who witnessed the assault or has information is asked to call State College police at 234-7150 or Centre County Crimestoppers at 877-992-7463.
