Crime Details:The State College Police Department is investigating the strong arm robbery of a purse from a female victim. The incident occurred in the 100 block of S. Patterson Street on Saturday night, October 20th at approx. 11:45pm. The victim and two friends were walking home when they were confronted by three suspects, a black female, a white male and an Asian male. When confronted by the suspects, the black female grabbed the purse from the victim and fled. The suspect was chased, caught and the purse recovered. A silver or gray, older model 4 door vehicle was used to flee the area. The vehicle had a PA registration plate with the last four digits “1661.” The vehicle had been parked to the rear of 119 N. Patterson Street earlier in the evening. The description of the suspects is as follows: #1) Black female, approx. 5’3”, 110 pounds, college age, dark complexion, braided hair pulled back in a pony tail, last seen wearing a white Penn State hoodie with “Happy Valley” emblazoned on it #2) White male, tall, college age, last seen wearing a white puffy coat and hood #3) Asian male, approx. 5’6”, stocky build, last seen wearing a gray hoodie Anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may know the suspects is asked to call the State College Police Department at 814/234-7150 or Centre County Crimestoppers at 877-99-CRIME or 877-992-7463.
