Crime Details:Robber hits Mill Hall pharmacy Store is the ninth in growing string of similar holdups A pharmacy in Mill Hall is the victim of the ninth recorded armed robbery in the region since July 22. State police investigating Trooper Jeffrey Hildebrand said the robbery happened at Raible's Pharmacy, 260 Main St., just before 1:30 p.m. Saturday, and the suspect, who made off with a small amount of money, fled on foot from the pharmacy. A witness told police he saw a man fleeing the scene from his second-story apartment building on Arch Street, located a block from the pharmacy. "The kid came running and barely got into the car, and the guy (drove) off," Bill Cummings said. He said the car was in a parking lot waiting for the man, then fled down Dewey Street, which intersects with Arch Street. Hildebrand would not release any details of the car. He said in a press release that the suspect had a similar profile of the previous robberies -- a white man with a thin build, standing 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, wearing all black clothing and a black bandanna and holding a black semi-automatic pistol. He also said the suspect was armed at the time of the robbery. Hildebrand said there were employees and customers in the store at the time but that no one was injured and no shots were fired. Hildebrand said video surveillance from both the pharmacy and neighboring businesses was reviewed. "We have a couple of leads," Hildebrand said but declined to discuss them. Similar incidents have occurred in Blair, Centre, Clinton and Huntingdon counties, and the targets so far have been pizza shops and convenience stores. On Friday, there was an attempted bank robbery. "There's a possibility that it's the same guy, and a possibility it's not the same guy," Hildebrand said. Anyone with information on the robbery is urged to call state police at Lamar at 570-726-6000.
