Crime Details:Forcible Sex Offense-unknown TIMELY WARNING Possible Threat to the Community “Your Right to Know” Report date: Sunday, February 08, 2015 Date and time of incident: Approximately Feb 8th 2015at 02:00am — Feb 8th 2015at 03:00am "This warning addresses a report of sexual misconduct. Resources are available on and off campus to provide assistance. Visit www.psu.edu/hotlines for support." Incident number: PSU201500563 Reported offense: A Sexual Assault was reported to University Police on February 8, 2015 at 4:30 PM. The reported assault occurred on February 8, 2015 between 2:00 A.M. and 3:00 A.M., in a residence hall room in the East View Terrace apartment complex. The victim, a student, reported she walked back to campus with an unknown male she had just met at a party. Upon arrival at his residence, a second male appeared and both forced her to commit sexual acts. Location of incident: University Park Location description: The East View Terrace residence hall complex is located in the south eastern portion of campus, adjacent to E. College Ave and Bigler Road. Description of suspect(s): Suspect 1: White college aged male, short brown hair, Suspect 2: White college aged male, blonde spiked hair. Safety tips: Do not except rides or walking accompaniment from people you don't know well or trust. Trust your instincts. If you feel unsafe, get to a safe place and call for help. Report all suspicious persons, vehicles, and activities to your University Police department immediately. Tell someone you trust your destination and planned time of return. Sexual Assault is a second degree felony in the state of PA. Sentencing can include up to 10 years in prison, fines, and psychiatric treatment. Perpetrators are responsible for sexual assaults. Perpetrators take advantage of vulnerability and seek opportunities to commit sexual assaults. It can be assumed that conditions that continue to exist that may pose a threat to members and guests of the University community. It is the duty of the administration to warn of possible "dangerous conditions" on or near the campus, and at affiliate organizations off campus; an "affirmative duty" exists to warn persons associated to the University of possible peril at the hands at some third party or parties.
