Crime Details:INDECENT ASSAULT TIMELY WARNING Possible Threat to the Community “Your Right to Know” October 12, 2014 REPORTED OFFENSE: An Indecent Assault was reported to University Police on Sunday, October 12, 2014 at approximately 3:58 a.m. The reported assault occurred on Sunday, October 12, 2014, at approximately 3:15 a.m., in the University’s East Halls Residence Hall known as Stone Hall. Stone Hall is located in the East Halls Residence Complex, adjacent to Snyder Hall. SUSPECTS: The suspect, unknown to the witness, is described as a college aged Asian male, 5’8”, with dark hair and a medium build. The suspect was wearing light colored clothing. The victim, a student, reported at approximately 3:15 a.m. on Sunday, October 12, 2014, she was inappropriately touched by an unknown male in her unlocked Stone Hall residence. The victim was awakened to this unknown male inappropriately touching her. It can be assumed that conditions continue to exist that may pose a threat to members and guests of the University community. It is the duty of the institution to warn of possible “dangerous conditions” on or near the campus, and at affiliate organizations off campus; an “affirmative duty” exists to warn persons associated with this University of possible peril at the hands of some third party or parties. *In an effort to reduce your risk of becoming a victim, please keep these tips in mind. o Keep your doors locked at all times o Avoid traveling alone at night.
