Crime Details:State College police are investigating two burglaries and one attempted burglary that occurred within the first two weeks of March, possibly during Penn State's spring break. The incidents may be related, based upon the dates and similarities between them, police said. On March 11, police responded to the 200 block of Woodland Drive in the borough for a report of a burglary that had occurred between 10 p.m. on March 10 and 10 a.m. on March 11. The burglar or burglars entered an unlocked basement door and took several electronic items, including a 32-inch flat-screen television, a video game system, a satellite radio and a digital camera. On March 14, police responded to the 900 block of Robin Road in the borough for a burglary that occurred between March 3 and March 13. The burglar forced open a side door and took electronic items that included a 32-inch flat-screen television, a video game system with games and an IPod. On March 15, police responded to a report of an attempted burglary in the 900 block of Robin Road that occurred between march 1 and March 14. The burglar forced open a screen door on the lower level, then climbed the deck and cut the screen door to an upper level patio door, but did not gain entry to the residence. Anyone who may have seen any suspicious person or vehicles in the area during this time, or who may have information on the burglaries, is asked to contact State College police at 234-7150 or Crimestoppers at 1-877-9992-7463. Callers may remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward if the information leads to an arrest.
