State College police say they are now searching for the person, or people, responsible, but donít have any descriptions. Police say the victim and his wife drove to State College from Mifflinburg around 11:15 p.m. yesterday after a friend had vehicle trouble and needed help in a downtown parking lot. When the couple arrived, police say the man began searching for his friend on foot between the 400 block of E. College Avenue and the intersection of East Beaver Avenue. Thatís where he was assaulted, first hit on the head, then stabbed three times, police say. At the time, he was wearing an Ohio State baseball hat, a red hooded Ohio State sweatshirt, shorts, sandals, and eyeglasses. Police say several of those items are now missing. The man couldnít give police any description of his attacker, and said he was not involved in any confrontations prior to the stabbing, police report.
