Crime Time:10 p.m.
Crime Type:Strong-arm robbery
Crime Location:Premier Theatre
Victim Auth:No
Crime Details:State College police are looking for three people they said first caused a disturbance at the Premiere Theatre Monday night then, after they were ejected, forcefully robbed a theater clerk as he tried to refund them their money. Two males and a female caused a disturbance with offensive language just before the 10 p.m. showing of the “Dark Knight” at the theaters at 125 Premiere Drive, according to State College police. The theater employee refused to let the people inside the theater since other patrons were alarmed, and offered to refund their money, police said. But as the clerk was refunding the money, one of the male suspects continued to be belligerent and the situation escalated, police said. As that was happening, the second male reached over the counter and pulled an undisclosed amount of cash from the register drawer as the victim was trying to close it, police said. All three then fled on foot. The victim was not hurt, police said. Police are working to post surveillance camera images of the pair on the department’s Web site in the near future.
